We don't usually like having our photo taken - is that okay?
What are the benefits of having two photographers?
We want to capture you in your most authentic, our style is built around having conversations with you on the shoot that evoke real emotion. Our aim is that when you get your images back you go ‘oh my gosh, that’s SO us!’ and don’t simply say ‘wow, those are beautiful.’ That being said, we totally understand that most people aren’t used to being in front of the camera so we will absolutely help direct and guide you in unique ways to showcase your personality and style – don’t worry, we’ve got you.
Here are just a few benefits to list for having a second shooter. Capture every moment – Having Two Wedding photographers on your day helps ensure not a moment is missed from the day you have spent so much time and effort planning. All the little details and all the spontaneous moments captured as well as all the key moments you would expect. Sometimes it’s a matter of perspective. Getting to see the same scene from a different angle is one of the beauties of having two photographers. The getting ready part of the day is so lovely to photograph for the bride. The anticipations of what lies ahead, the dress hung up, flowers, bridesmaids, your dad seeing you dressed and ready to go. The nerves and shared excitement all documented to forever look back upon. But what about the groom’s story that is often missed? Him getting his button hole pinned on, last minute speech adjustments, a shot of the rings, the ‘Dutch courage’ pint with the best man, the groom nervously waiting at the ceremony. With two photographers you can capture the entire wonderful build up to the special moment. We can also capture the groom’s reaction as he turns to face you walking down the aisle as well as you walking down the aisle from his view.
Is it possible to add video coverage to my wedding?
Absolutely! We offer a Super8 Film package for those who want something raw, stripped back and emotional. The film is shot on a top of the range vintage 8mm videocamera, captured directly onto film. After processing, it’s scanned digitally by a professional lab at 4k resolution. We’ll provide you the original film negatives as a keepsake along with digital format. Just imagine your future grandchildren discovering your wedding day film reel in years to come and how they’ll feel your love through film. How far should we book in advance?
It’s never too early – Many couples book us more than one year in advance. But there are also some spontaneous requests. So the earlier you contact us, the better the chances are that your date is still available in our calendar. Just tell us as soon as your date is set. To be fair to our couples we don’t book every enquiry we get, we want to make sure we are a perfect match.
How much do you charge to secure a booking?
Where are you located? Do you travel?
We kindly ask for a £450 non-refundable booking fee, the remaining balance to be cleared within 30 days of your wedding. If your wedding date needs to be moved due to unforeseeable circumstances please let us know as soon as you can and we will do everything we can do accommodate depending on our availability.
We are based in Norfolk, UK, but we are available anywhere you need us! Our local travel window is anywhere 1-2 hours from Norwich; but we are always willing to travel and love destination weddings! Send us a message and we can talk details…
What's your opinion on 'First Looks'?
How quickly will I receive my images?
First looks can be an absolutely beautiful way to start your day and can bring about some really intimate, emotional moments – personally, we love them! But as much as we love them, we will never try to convince you to have a first look if you don’t want one! We can, without question, arrange the timeline of your day in such a way to get all your photos finished without the need for a first look – it’s totally up to you.
For Weddings and Elopements the turnaround is usually about 4-6 weeks. Portrait and Engagement turnaround is usually within 2-3 weeks depending on our current workflow.
How many images will I receive?
The number of images we deliver with each shoot varies, but as a general rule of thumb you can expect to receive around 50-75 images per hour of shooting time. A full wedding collection will include 700+ images delivered via online password protected gallery to save and share with friends and family.
How long will my gallery be available online?
We would strongly urge you to download and back up your images once you’ve received the gallery – but if something happens, good news… you have access to your online gallery for a minimum of 12 months after receiving your login details. That means if you misplace your saved files or something happens to the images, chances are we’ve got you covered.
Do you ever deliver RAW files?
To protect both our personal style as well as the photo industry as a whole, we never release unedited / RAW images, we pride ourselves with delivery of a beautiful final product. The images we provide are industry quality, perfect for prints, canvases, etc.
Do you offer wedding albums and prints?
You’ll have access to a top-tier professional photo lab from within your gallery. From here you can order prints, canvases, calendars, save the date and thank you cards, etc. Additionally, we offer stunning, hardback albums as well as authentic leather wedding albums with our wedding packages.
What's the benefit of ordering prints through your lab vs doing it myself?
We will never force you to order prints through us – however, if you want the absolute best quality prints, the lab we have partnered with is amazing and offers the highest quality. Ordering through the lab gives you prints with stunning richness and lasting quality, right from your phone or your computer!
Will I get a print release with my photos?
Absolutely. We firmly believe that you should have the right to print your images so every contract includes a personal-use clause, allowing you to print your images at any third-party photo lab.
What if the unthinkable were to happen and your photographer is injured / ill / can't make it. Or camera / equipment failure?
Do you reschedule if it's bad weather?
We shoot all year round in various weather conditions and confident shooting in any environment that nature might throw at us. That said, if we have heavy precipitation or high winds, We may reach out to you about rescheduling to a better date.
We always have backups to hand, you can still have your day professionally photographed, panic over!
