Suffolk Country Wedding

31 August, 2019

I had met Hannah and Nathan a few years before the wedding. I photographed the family for an outdoor shoot. I was completely honoured when they asked me to photograph their wedding. With such a connection between us, it made so much more special.

The wedding day started well, Hannah got ready at her mum’s house in the beautiful Suffolk countryside surrounded with her closest family. I documented whilst she had her hair and make-up done, the children and flower girl played outside, all very exciting! A knock on the door and there arrives a beautiful classic vintage car mounting the curb, parked up right outside Hannah’s mum‘s house. It was a surprise! Such a beautiful surprise, she had no idea that this was going to be the way she would make the journey to the church.

We all made our way to a small Methodist church which Hannah’s family regularly attended. So much significance to the family, the church only suited a small amount, creating a beautifully perfect atmosphere. As Hannah walked down the aisle the room is full of smiles, and Nathan’s eyes were full of happy tears. The ceremony was touching with personal speeches from close family members added in.

Once the minister had pronounced Hannah and Nathan as husband and wife they exited the church to excited family members who handed them a glass of champagne and confetti was thrown.

The rest of the celebrations were held back at their home village in Long Melford, where we ventured out across the farmers fields together laughing and talking.
